Manufactured Gas Plant

Ohio - EnviroTech Associates, Inc. lead the environmental subsurface investigation at an active National Electrical and Gas Utility Provider’s facility, which historically operated as a Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) for over 100 years. This Ohio MGP’s sparse historical information required a thorough subsurface investigation in preparation for future remediation. EnviroTech’s responsibilities involved completing subsurface explorations with various drilling techniques and multiple crews, soil logging, supervising monitoring well installation, test pits, field screening and analytical sampling, and monitoring of personnel health and safety. This 3-month project was completed ahead of schedule despite extreme summer heat.
